SNOOPY'S CLOSET AT WILLIAMSON MEDICAL CENTER

Our goal is to help families having financial difficulties through our “Home Life Community Service” division.  Snoopy’s closet at Williamson Medical Center is designed to help newborns and mothers with needed supplies after discharge from the hospital.  The Brentwood Woman’s Club members purchased diapers, bottles, blankets, and clothing to supply Snoopy’s Closet in February.  Delivery of baby items were made and presented to Daren Marshall, Social Worker, Ellen Taylor, Director of Case Management, Zonda Thomas, Administration Assistant to Chief Nursing Officer, and Steve Smith, Executive Director of the Williamson Medical Center Foundation. When our ladies displayed all our collected items, the staff was amazed at our generosity.  We asked how long the donations would last and Daren said about 4 months.  To date they have around 1500 babies born every year with 25% to 35% needing financial help.  Williamson Medical Center does not receive State or Federal funds for people needing assistance but relies on Williamson Medical Center Foundation and clubs such as Brentwood Woman's Club for help.
